An immobilizer antenna pump tester, an antenna electromagnetic field detector, is necessary when it is necessary to separate the malfunction of the transponder (chip) in the key from the malfunction of the immobilizer system in the case when the car does not start and there is a suspicion that the problem is in the immobilizer.

Diagnosis example:
The car does not start, there is an assumption that the key or immobilizer is faulty. You need to attach the detector to the ignition lock, insert the key into it and watch the LED flashes. Most often there are three options for the behavior of the LED

1. Short flashes (usually 1-2) is normal behavior. The immobilizer block interrogated the key and recognized it as its own.
2. There are no flashes at all - no pumping. For some reason, the immobilizer unit does not interrogate the key (or cannot interrogate), immobilizer diagnostics are required.
3. The LED is constantly on - either the key is not recognized, or there is a malfunction in the immobilizer.
